OUR PLAICE

Our Plaice is a family owned fish and chip business which was established in 1968. Using traditional methods of frying to provide an award winning taste that customers enjoy time after time. All our food is sustainably and responsibly sourced. Only the best ingredients and freshest raw products are used to create the best fish and chips. The Our Plaice team work hard to to give you, great customer service and nothing is too much trouble. Customer care and attention to detail are a vital part of the whole experience.

Gregg and Caroline

Our Plaice is owned and run by Gregg and Caroline Howard and their family.

They are justifiably proud of their award winning business which has come along way from it's humble beginnings back in 1968 where Gregg's mother fried fish and chips from the front room of their house in Two Gates, Colley Gate. Gregg's chef training has stood him in good stead to produce the finest fish and chips.

In 2004 they were very proud to win the National title organised and judged by Seafish UK-They were crowned The best fish and chip shop in the United Kingdom. UK Fish and Chip shop of the year.

Along with many other awards including The UK Young fish frier of the Year winner, The UK best Seafood week marketing award. With James Houlston UK third place finalist of the YFF YR. Previously awarded by The Fisherman's Mission for best Midland fundraiser. 

They are also very proud to be co owners of The Chip Shed, a brand new venture offering traditional fish and chips in the Cotswolds. Warwick, Minchinhampton and Bourton On The Water. If you are a fan of Our Plaice you will certainly love The Chip Shed. Seating and luxury accommodation available in Bourton On The Water. Restaurant available in Warwick.

PASSION AND COMMITTMENT

Passion and commitment has gained us international recognition since winning our awards. Acting as ambassadors to our industry. With T.V. appearances, Judging opportunities and an active role in the National Federation of Fish Friers NFFF. Where Gregg is the current UK President.

Also advising overseas fish and chip operators in Japan, Spain, Iceland and Paris in their business',

Championing British fish and chips.

The ultimate honour was being presented to the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh in recognition of our achievements during a Maritime evening at St. James' Palace.
